Between 2020 and 2021, during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, I created two Augmented Reality (AR) animations using Adobe Animate and Snapchat Lens Studio.
The works transformed existing street artworks into interactive digital experiences. By opening Snapchat and pointing the camera at the murals, viewers could activate site-specific AR animations that brought the paintings to life. The digital layer extended the physical artwork with movement and animation, creating an immersive experience that merged the real and virtual worlds.
These projects explored how accessible mobile AR technology could enhance public art and encourage new forms of engagement with urban spaces during a period when digital interaction became increasingly important.
